With both online and onsite education opportunities, CASI provides instruction, hands-on practice, and mentorship in assessment tools which cover the core constructs in Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI). To learn more about CLASI and the CASI program, click here! The CLASI CASI program is comprised of 6 education modules. Modules 1,2,4 & 5 are offered through online training. Modules 3 & 6 are offered onsite. Module 2: Comprehensive Assessment of ASI (online) Module 2 introduces the learner to information on direct and indirect assessments including the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) through www.wpspublish.org and the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) (Mailloux, Parham & Smith Roley, 2016). *Module 2 is a suggested prerequisite to module 3, since it provides essential information for administration of a variety of tests. Module 3: Comprehensive Assessment in ASI: (onsite) This module provides practical hands on practice and review of all aspects of sensory integration and praxis with a variety of assessments that were introduced in module 2. Module 4: Clinical Reasoning using ASI (onsite) Module 4 provides information on using research to guide the interpretation of assessment data, linking findings to participation strengths and challenges and guiding intervention planning. Participants prepare a case study for analysis. *Module 4 is a prerequisite to modules 5 & 6. Module 5: Evidence-Based ASI Intervention including Fidelity to Intervention (onsite) Module 5 introduces the research and manualized methods of ASI intervention including the Fidelity to ASI Intervention measure that assists researchers and clinicians to distinguish between interventions that are faithful to the principles of ASI and those that do not meet the criteria. *Module 5 is a prerequisite to module 6 Module 6: Evidence-Based ASI Intervention Hands-On Practice and Review (onsite) Module 6 provides the opportunity for therapists to observe experts in ASI intervention strategies to work with children in a clinic equipped meeting the criteria outlined in the Fidelity measure.
