Are you in private practice and feeling like a lone island without many resources, but too many learning curves? With endless ambitions and goals of supporting the families and children that we work with every day, we search far and wide for those puzzle pieces that help make our practices effective and efficient.
Billing insurance tends to be one of those pieces of the puzzle that stumps many of us.
If you are an OT, PT or SLP in private practice who bills insurance or provides your clients with an invoice for possible reimbursement, you hit the jackpot by landing here! On February 8, 2017, Centerpointe for Children occupational therapy services hosted a Billing Insurance 101 Workshop, presented by Kim Wangler, who has worked in insurance billing for over 29 years! The group of Orange County, CA entrepreneurs who attended practice in pediatrics but there is plenty of information regarding setting up a super bill, codes and resources that would apply to anyone who is working with insurance.
We had an overwhelming response from therapists interested in attending, but the workshop location was, well, geographically undesirable. With hopes of expanding the reach of this much needed information, we decided to video the workshop to share it with you!
**We are NOT professional videographers!
Please keep in mind that the workshop is titled Billing Insurance 101 for a reason. It is a beginners guide to understanding your working relationship with insurance companies, providing super bills, coding, resources and addresses specific questions that therapists like you have in everyday practice.
We hope you have as many clarifying moments as we did while viewing this essential resource!! Keep up the momentum! You are an amazing and valuable asset to each and every family that you connect with! Let’s continue to support each other!
